About Us...
Welcome to Palace Cycles. We are an independent family-run bicycle shop in Carlisle, Cumbria. Established in 1934, we have been supplying and repairing bikes for generations. Over that time we've expanded on our commitment to working with our customers to help them get the maximum enjoyment from their cycling.
We're lucky to be based in North Cumbria with its beautiful countryside, fine roads and easy access to the exhilarating mountain bike trails of the Lake District and Southern Scotland. You couldn't wish for a better place to ride.
We are a major supplier of bikes and accessories and work closely with some of the world's leading manufacturers to ensure that we help our customers select the right product for them.
Our busy workshop is home to three experienced mechanics who are always on hand for advice and guidance.
... A Local Bike Shop
While we hope you enjoy your online experience with us, we thought it might be nice to know that we've been here quite a while.
In an age of faceless online commerce, it can be reassuring to know that there are people, history and even bricks and mortar behind the 'buy it now'.
Palace Cycles or 'Palace Cycle Stores' has been in the Lee family on Botchergate, Carlisle for 90 years. Over time we have served generations of local cyclists and become something of an institution in our quiet corner of Northern England.
Through the years we have expanded - physically in the 90s - to meet the ever-changing demands of the cycle industry. So today you meet us in our digital form; a local, family-run online bicycle shop.
Welcome to Palace Cycles.
