Ksyrium Elite Disc CL
The disc-specific version of the famous Ksyrium Elite: light, strong and versatile -
As disc brakes continue to gain in popularity throughout the world of road cycling, we’re continuing to widen our range of road disc compatible wheels. New to the family is this disc version of our most successful Ksyrium Elite.
It shares the same spirit as the original Ksyrium Elite, being super dynamic thanks to light ISM4D rims. ISM stands for Inter Spoke Milling, making the rims super durable yet superlight by trimming the thickness of the rim wall between the spokes.
Experience tells us an efficient disc brake set up also needs reinforced front wheel lacing. Hence we've increased the spoke count to 24 steel spokes and found the perfect hub: delivered ready for 12mm through axle, it can be converted to standard quick release or 15mm thru axle with optional adapters. The rear wheel uses 24 strong steel straight pull spokes laced to our light, fast engagement Instant Drive 360 rear hub mechanism. This makes it compatible with any retention system: delivered in 12x142, it can be converted to regular quick release with optional adapters.
The freewheel systems comes in Shimano/Sram cassette compatibility but can be converted to Campagnolo and Sram XD-R cassette.
Yksion Pro tires to match
To make sure the extra stopping power makes its way to the ground, Ksyrium Elite Disc comes with our Yksion Pro tires in 25mm. They offer a supple 127 TPI casing, Kevlar beads, a well-balanced rubber compound that offers the best blend of grip and rolling resistance and a weight of only 210grams in 25mm.
The front wheel comes equipped with the Griplink version with a specific tread pattern to help evacuate water when cornering, to increase confidence and speed in difficult conditions. It also offers a very strong Kevlar puncture protection for added safety. The rear wheel comes with the Powerlink version which sports a more supple nylon puncture protection instead of the Kevlar one to lower rolling resistance. And to reduce rolling resistance even further, the tread pattern is optimized to reduce the pressure on the ground. Water is evacuated quickly through a centre channel to improve grip in wet conditions.
